Streets is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district . The place is east of the B 56 at the junction of the Dreikronenstraße from the B 56. There is a 300 year old winter linden tree, originally cut into three crowns , as a natural monument , which gave the street its name. The road cross from 1710 under the linden tree is a listed building .

history

The original farmstead roads at the Zeithstraße was first mentioned in 1296, when Elias (Elyas de straisen) of roads in a document of the pen of St. Andrew in Cologne because of the place of the Natural tithe occurs payable sum of money as a witness.

Streets was a saddlery or free estate, the owner of which had to provide the sovereign with a horse and rider in the event of war, but was free of other obligations.

In 1436, the saddle estate in Straßen was owned by the Heidenreich von Plettenberg , to which the estate, along with other goods and shares in Stein Castle, was inherited from his uncle Johann von Stein. He sold it to his relative Wilhelm von Nesselrode , bailiff of Windeck .

In 1609/1610 the estate came into civil hands. After the middle of the 18th century, several farms were created through inheritance divisions.

After the Second World War there were major changes through the demolition of the old houses, new buildings inside and outside the old courtyard area, as well as the expansion and relocation of paths and restructuring of the two remaining farms, one of which specializes in dairy farming, the other one Operates riding stables.

Until 1969 the village belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen .

Residents

In 1830 the street had 39 inhabitants. In 1845 the farm had 24 Catholic residents in 14 houses. In 1888 there were 26 residents in five houses.

In 1901 the homestead had 23 residents. The eight families Peter Hauptmann, Anton and Johann Josef Pohl, Johann Schmitz, two Johann Wimar Stommel, Peter Josef and Wilhelm Weber are listed. Except for the merchant Schmitz, all were farmers .
