Niederhorbach is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Niederhorbach is located on the Horbacher Bach in the Bergisches Land . Neighboring towns are Oberhorbach in the north and Ohmerath in the southwest. The place can be reached via the federal highway 478 .

history

Until 1969 the village belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen .

In 1830 Nieder-Horbach had 81 inhabitants. In 1845 the village had 86 Catholic residents in 18 houses. In 1888 there were 66 residents in 21 houses.

In 1901 the village had 64 inhabitants. The families Ackerer Johann Brücher, Seamstress Catharina Herchenbach, Ackerer Johann Arnold Kremer, Ackerer Johann Pütz, two Ackerer named Peter Pütz and Ackerer Peter Josef Schmitt are listed.
