Wahn is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Wahn lies on the Hasenberg formed by Ingelbach and Hillenbach in the Bergisches Land . Neighboring places are streets in the northwest and Hochhausen in the southwest, in the east is the Wahnbach dam .

history

In 1830 the hamlet of Wahn had 106 inhabitants. In 1845 the village had 100 Catholic residents in twenty houses. In 1888 there were 67 residents in fifteen houses.

In 1901 the hamlet had 63 inhabitants. The families Wimar Demmer, Johann Eich, widow Wilhelm Eich, Wilhelm Hohlefelder, Wilhelm Klein, Peter Köntgen, Johann Kurtenbach, Wilhelm Kurtenbach, Heinrich Linden, Heinrich Josef Linden, Johann Linden, Wilhelm Manz, Leonhard Nolden, widow Heinrich Ohligschläger, Peter are listed Josef Salzert, Heinrich Schlösser and Johan Wimar Söntgerath. Except for wheelwright Heinrich Linden, everyone was in the village of Ackerer .

Until 1969 the village belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen .
