Hardt is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Hardt lies on the slopes of the Wendbach valley in the Bergisches Land . Neighboring towns are Wende in the west, Söntgerath in the north and Birkenfeld in the south.

history

In 1830 Hardt had 19 residents. In 1845 the farm had ten Catholic residents in three houses. In 1888 there were 29 residents in seven houses.

In 1901 the hamlet had 35 inhabitants. The families of mason Peter Albus, mason Heinrich Wilhelm Klein, field worker Franz Josef Krieger, mason Peter Wilhelm Overrödder, cobbler Wimar Rosendahl and field worker widow Wilhelm Steimel are listed.

In 1910 the farm workers Peter Albus, Peter Keppel, Heinrich Wilhelm Klein and Peter Wilhelm Overrödder, the shoemaker Wimar Rosendahl and the day laborer Johann Josef Sommerhäuser lived in Hardt .

Until 1969 the village belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen .
