Oberhorbach is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Oberhorbach is located on the Horbacher Bach in the Bergisches Land . Neighboring towns are Eischeid in the north and Niederhorbach in the south.

history

In 1841 the Horbacher mill to the east was built.

In 1830 Ober-Horbach had 52 inhabitants. In 1845 the farm had 66 Catholic residents in twelve houses. In 1888 there were 44 residents in nine houses.

In 1901 the hamlet had 28 inhabitants. The families Ackerer Johann Hombücher, Müller Wilhelm Klein, carpenter and timber merchant Peter Wilhelm Pütz and Ackerer Wilhelm Röhrig are listed.

Until 1969 the village belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen .
