Effert is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Effert is located on a mountain divide in the Bergisches Land in the westernmost part of the municipality. The hill is formed by the Naafbach and Lessbach . Neighboring towns are Rengert in the north and Wahlen in the west.

history

The village belonged to the community of Seelscheid until 1969 .

In 1830 Efferth had 24 residents. In 1845 the farm had 27 Protestant residents in five houses. In 1888 there were 35 residents in six houses.

In 1901 the hamlet had 35 inhabitants. Listed are the farm workers Heinrich, widow Johann Dietrich and Robert Färber, farm worker Daniel Haas, farm worker Johann Peter Lindenberg, carpenter Karl Naaf and farm worker Karl Schiffbauer.

In 1910 the families Heinrich and Robert Färber, Winand Frackenpohl, Daniel Haas, Karl Naaf and Karl Schiffer lived in Effert. All except for the carpenter Naaf were farmers, Heinrich Färber was also a miner , presumably in the winter in the Walpot mine in the valley .
