Oberheister is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Oberheister is located north of Seelscheid on federal highway 56 and on the border with Much . Neighboring towns are Heister and Siefen in the west, Pütz in the northwest, Huven in the northeast and Stein in the south.

history

In 1888 there were eleven residents in two houses in Stümpershäuschen . The place was also referred to as Oberheister, in brackets.

In 1910, neither Stümpershäuschen nor Oberheister were listed. So the place really didn't come into being until the beginning of the 20th century. Today it has grown together with Heister, Meistershofen , Broch and Much- Oberbitzen .

The village belonged to the community of Seelscheid until 1969 .
