Brackemich is a district of the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Brackemich is located in the Bergisches Land on the state road between Neunkirchen and Much. Neighboring towns are Birkenfeld and Hülscheid in the south, Balensiefen in the north and Köbach in the east.

history

Until 1969 the village belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen .

In 1830 Brackemich had 50 inhabitants. In 1845 the farm had 74 Catholic residents in 16 houses. In 1888 there were 53 residents in 15 houses.

In 1901 the hamlet had 58 inhabitants. The families Ackerer Wilhelm Albus, Ackerer Wilhelm Brockhäuser, Ackerer Johann Hahn, Schneider Peter Josef Hahn, Ackerer Peter Horbach, Ackerer Johann Schlösser, Ackerer Wilhelm Schlösser, Ackerer Wilhelm Schmitz, Ackerer Heinrich Stommel and the grocer Johann Peter Zimmermann are listed.
