Zeithstrasse

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Zeithstraße was a medieval Fernhandelsweg . It ran from Bonn via Siegburg , Neunkirchen-Seelscheid , Much , Drabenderhöhe (here it crossed the trade route of the Brüderstraße ), Ründeroth , Marienheide and Hagen to Dortmund . The greatest difference in altitude had to be taken when crossing the Aggertal near Ründeroth. Here was a ford through the Agger .

The first bus on the route between Siegburg and Much was already in operation in 1910, only 15 years after the world's first bus line was set up. It was operated by the Siegburg haulier Heinrich Roth and took 90 minutes for the route.

A section of the Zeithstraße today forms the federal highway 56 in the Rhein-Sieg district . The places Lower Time and Upper Time are also located here .
