Unterste Zeith is a district of Seelscheid in the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

Unterste Zeith is at the southern entrance of Seelscheid on the federal highway 56 . Neighboring towns are Breitscheid in the northwest, Schaaren in the east.
Surname
The name is derived from Scheid (mountain ridge). Hence the street name Zeithstraße .
history
Until 1969 the village belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen .
In 1830 Zeith had 18 inhabitants. In 1845 the Zeith farm had two Catholic and 22 Protestant residents in four houses. In 1888 there were five residents in two houses during the Unterste Zeith .
In 1901 the homestead had five residents. The families of the grocer August Piel and Ackerer Wilhelm Piel are listed.
