geography

The hamlet is located on the northern slope of the Bröltal . Neighboring towns are Hülscheid and Hasenbach in the north, Hermerath and Thilhove in the east and Reiferscheid in the south.

history

In 1712 eight families with 39 souls lived in the hamlet : widow Broscheidts, Henrich Roland, widow Kuchheim, widow Schenk, widow Wimar Walterscheid, Theodor Mertens, Heinrich Hein and widow Paul Klein.

In 1809 the place had 52 Catholic residents.

In 1817 57 people lived here.
