Reiferscheid is a district of the municipality of Ruppichteroth in the Rhein-Sieg district .

geography

The hamlet lies on the slopes of the Bergisches Land . Neighboring towns are Thilhove in the northeast, Büchel in the east and Broscheid in the north. In the south of Reiferscheid lies the Herrnstein Castle .

history

In 1712 7 households with 30 souls lived here : Peter Köhler, Bertram Köhler, Wilhelm Hoscheid, Wilhelm Ezenbach, Henrich Schneider, Bertram Büchel and Wimar Büchel.

In 1809 the place had 34 Catholic residents.

In 1910, the households Ackerer Heinrich Balensiefer, hunting warden Fritz Busch, widow Ernst Josef Feld, Ackerin widow Philipp Feld, Ackerer Wilhelm Feld, Ackerer Johann and Philipp Franken as well as Ackerer Johann and Peter Josef Schmitt were recorded for Reiferscheid.
