Herrenbröl is a part of the municipality of Ruppichteroth . The place grew out of the remains of Herrenbröl Castle .

geography

Herrenbröl is located in the Bröltal directly on the federal road 478 . Neighboring towns are Ahe in the east, Fußberg in the south and Schönenberg in the west.

Residents

In 1809, Herrenbröl had eleven Catholic residents.

In 1901 there were four households with 20 inhabitants for Herrenbröl: landlord and lime distillery owner Josef Krumbach, mill owner and baker Daniel Lindenberg, ackerer Joh. Ottersbach and bricklayer Franz Wirges.

In 1910 two families were recorded there: August Lindenberg, mill and sawmill owner, and Daniel Lindenberg, pensioner and alderman.

The Bröltalbahn ran through the town until 1954 .
