Etzenbach is a part of the municipality of Ruppichteroth . It is named after the stream there, the origin is Gut Etzenbach .

geography

The place is on the slopes of the Bergisches Land in the Bröltal . In the southwest is Schönenberg , in the northeast Retscheroth and in the east Hove .

history

In 1644 the Etzenbach estate was owned by Vollmar and Engelbert von Scheid called Weschpfennig . The estate had to deliver a load of oats.

In 1809 the farm had 9 Catholic residents.

In 1910, Etzenbach had three households: day laborer Franz Peter Lückerath, farm worker Franz Josef Lückeroth and journeyman carpenter Wilhelm Lückeroth.
