Buch is located in the valley of the Waldbrölbach . Neighboring hamlets were Heide in the east, Kesselscheid in the south and Huppach in the north.

history

Buch was first mentioned on a map of the parish of Ruppichteroth from 1646. In 1809 there were 15 Catholic and four Lutheran residents in the hamlet. At that time the place belonged to the Commüne Velken . In 1901 the then homestead had eight residents, the family of the farmer Joh. Sieberz.
