Geography and traffic

The hamlet is at an altitude of 210  m above sea level. NHN in the Derenbachtal . Neighboring towns are Derenbach and Holenfeld in the east, Schmitzdörfgen in the southeast, Tanneck in the west and Hatterscheid in the northwest. In Bechlingen there is a bus stop where the line 531 of the Rhein-Sieg transport company runs every hour .

history

In 1712 5 households with 23 souls lived here : Philip Derenbach, Adolph Ennenbach, Arnold Wirges, Godfried Schneider and Wittwe Fischers.

In 1809 the place had 31 Catholic residents.

In 1910, the households of day laborer Jakob Beiert, farm worker Adolf Knecht, widow Cornelius Knecht, farm worker Adolf Schmitz and farm worker widow Johann Peter Schneider were registered for the hamlet .
