Niedersaurenbach is a district of the municipality of Ruppichteroth .
geography
The village lies on the slopes of the Bergisches Land . Neighboring towns are Hove in the west, Hambuchen in the north and Mittelaurenbach in the east.
history
In 1644, Niedersaurenbach was designated as a free farm owned by the von Scheidt men called Weschpfennig . If necessary, the farm had to provide a horse and two loads of oats to deliver.
In 1809 the place had 37 Catholic residents.
In 1910, the households of day laborer Peter Behr, field worker Josef Heuser and landowner Heinrich Steeger were recorded for Niedersaurenbach .
