Tanneck is a district of the municipality of Ruppichteroth in the Rhein-Sieg district in the south of North Rhine-Westphalia .

location

The place is located in the Bergisches Land nature park in the Derenbachtal on Kreisstraße 17, about 1.5 kilometers southeast of the center of Winterscheid . Immediately 400 meters north is the district of Hatterscheid , at the same distance in the south-west is Fußhollen . It is three kilometers to federal road 478 in the north and two kilometers to state road 86 in the east.

history

Tanneck was mentioned as a cross location in a document in 1759 . Here was a wooden cross on which the corridor processions stopped and the blessing was given. Later a saint's house was built in place of the cross, which also gave way to some renovations. Tanneck only became a place of residence in the 20th century. From the 1960s to the 1980s, the "Haus Tanneck" restaurant existed here. On September 27, 2009, citizens of the area erected a stone memorial at Haus Tanneck.

Infrastructure

The district today consists of privately used buildings and is located at a street crossing. A bus stop ensures the connection to local public transport.
