Tüschenhohn is a former district of Winterscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Today it belongs to the Ruppichteroth district of Bröleck .

location

Tüschenhohn is located in the Bergisches Land nature park and is the southernmost part of the Bröleck district. Surrounding villages are the Bröleck districts Felderhof and Felderhoferbrücke in the north, Hänscheid in the east, Derenbach in the south and Herrnstein Castle and Büchel in the west.

North of Tüschenhohn the federal road 478 runs from Hennef (Sieg) to Waldbröl . In Tüschenhohn the Waldbrölbach flows into the Bröl , and the Steinchesbach also flows past Tüschenhohn.

history

Tüschenhohn was first mentioned in 1644 as "Tüschenhaen". In 1809 the place had 10 residents of Catholic denomination . Today there is only one building left in town.

Tüschenhohn has always been part of the Winterscheid community . On November 16, 1956, the village was merged with the surrounding villages of Felderhof , Felderhoferbrücke , Haus Bröleck , Lindenhof and Sieferhof to form the district of Bröleck , which was fully incorporated into the municipality of Ruppichteroth .
