Håvard Mamelund (born February 9, 1982 ) is a former Norwegian handball player who has been a coach since the end of his career.

Career

Mamelund started playing handball in Helset. Mamelund Haslum HK later joined , where he played in the top Norwegian league. With Haslum he won the Norwegian cup competition, the Norgesmesterskap, in the 2004/05 season. At the beginning of the 2006/07 season, the right-hander played three more league games for Haslum before ending his career in 2006. A few years later he made his comeback at Haslum HK. He played another ten league games in the 2008/09 season and two league games in the 2009/10 season.

Mamelund started his coaching activity in the youth sector at Stabæk Håndball . He won the Norgesmesterskap in 2009 with the Stabæk junior team. In the same year he took over the coaching of the women's team from Stabæk, which competed in the highest Norwegian league. Under his direction, Stabæk moved into the finals of the Norgesmesterskap in 2011 and 2012, but in both cases the Norwegian record champions Larvik HK won. In the summer of 2014 Mamelund moved to Haslum HK, where he works as an assistant coach for the men's team.

Håvard Mamelund's siblings Erlend and Linn Therese also play handball in the highest Norwegian league.
