Héctor Wittwer

Héctor Wittwer (* 1969 ) is a German philosopher .

Life

Wittwer studied philosophy at the Humboldt University of Berlin and Latin American studies at the Free University of Berlin from 1991 to 1996 . From 1997 to 1999 he received a doctoral scholarship from the State of Berlin . From 1999 to 2002 he was a research assistant at the Chair for Practical Philosophy / Legal and Social Philosophy at the Humboldt University. He received his doctorate in 2001. He then worked from 2002 to 2009 as a research assistant at the Chair for Practical Philosophy / Legal and Social Philosophy at Humboldt University.

After completing his habilitation in 2007, he represented the professorship for practical philosophy at the Philosophy Department at the University of Hamburg in 2008 . In the 2008/2009 winter semester, he was a professor for practical philosophy at the Institute for Philosophy and Political Science at TU Dortmund University .

Wittwer has been teaching as professor for practical philosophy at the University of Magdeburg since 2014 . In the 2015 summer semester he was a fellow in the research group for the establishment of norms in medical ethics and biopolitics at the University of Münster .
