The Hôtel de Ville (German town hall) in Sens , a town in the French Yonne department of the Burgundy region , was inaugurated in 1904. The Hôtel de Ville at 100 rue de la République has been classified as a Monument historique since 1995 .
architecture
The representative building has a magnificent staircase to the first floor, where the council hall, the ballroom and the wedding room are located.
The elaborate decoration was carried out by the artists Jean-Jacques Scherrer , Auguste Mangenot and Emmanuel Cavaillé-Coll .
