The Hôtel de préfecture de la Meuse in Bar-le-Duc , a French city ​​in the Meuse department in Lorraine , was built at the beginning of the 18th century. The former Hôtel particulier on Rue du Bourg no. 40/42 was added to the list of architectural monuments in France in 1992 as Monument historique .

The facade of the two-storey city ​​palace in the classicism style was built in 1821.

From 1904 to 1908 the building complex, which has an inner courtyard, was enlarged according to plans by the architect Charles Royer.

Since the 19th century, the École normal d'ìnstitutrice (College of Education) has been housed here. After the restoration by the architect Dominique Perrault in 1991, the department administration was established in the building complex.
