The Hörster Place is a small urban park in the Westphalian city of Münster . It is located in the immediate vicinity of the promenade and the State Archives on the site of the former Hörstertor within the medieval city fortifications. After razing of the fortifications and the demolition of the gate in 1770 until 1882 was built in its place a small green area. Some of the free-standing trees also date from this time. In the middle of the square has been the so-called "Eagle Monument" since 1930, which commemorates the fallen soldiers of the Royal Prussian 4th Lorraine Field Artillery Regiment No. 70 during the First World War , for example during the battles of Cambrai and Verdun .

In June 2010 Frankonia Eurobau AG, which specializes in high-quality residential areas, completed the "Klostergärten" residential property on Hörsterplatz, which cost more than 60 million euros. The area at this place belonged to a former Franciscan monastery , which was abandoned and demolished in 2004. The old monastery wall to Bohlweg and Hörsterplatz was left for historical reasons and now forms a uniform overall concept with the facility.
