The Høgskavlen is a distinctive and 2256 m high mountain with a flattened and snowy peaks in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises directly to the northeast of the dome in the Borg massif .
Norwegian cartographers mapped the mountain using geodetic surveys and aerial photographs of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952). The Norwegian name means something like "high snow peaks "
