The higher federal teaching and research institute Raumberg-Gumpenstein ( HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein ) is a scientific teaching and research center in Irdning - Raumberg in Austria and an agency of the Federal Ministry for Agriculture, Regions and Tourism . Through the merger of teaching and research in 2005 and the establishment of its own bio-institute, Raumberg-Gumpenstein became the center for agriculture and rural areas in Austria.

The official hour of birth of the Raumberg-Gumpenstein research location was the formal founding of the Federal Research Institute for Alpine Agriculture in Admont in 1947 - at the former location of the Reich Research Institute for Alpine Agriculture.

  • Farm animal research : In addition to the necessary feed and exercise areas, the Institute for Farm Animal Research has various stables for cattle, sheep and goats at its disposal.
  • Crop production and cultural landscape : The Institute for Crop Production and Cultural Landscape deals with all questions relating to crop production, in particular grassland management, in a network with questions of the cultural landscape and rural areas.
