Handball Esch is a Luxembourg handball fusion club from Esch an der Alzette , which was founded in 2001.

history

The club was founded in 2001 through the merger of the two clubs Handball Fola Esch and the Handball Club Fraternelle Esch .

In the second year they were able to celebrate the double of the championship and the cup. To date you have been champion seven times and cup winners seven times in Luxembourg, most recently the double in 2017.

In 2013 they reached the final of the EHF Challenge Cups , in which the Belarusian SKA Minsk team lost 26:31 and 24:32. It was the biggest success of a handball team from Luxembourg in the European Cup so far.

So far, the club has participated twice in the Champions League , eight times in the EHF Cup , four times in the European Cup Winners' Cup and four times in the Challenge Cup .

On January 25, 2017, on the occasion of its 15th anniversary, the club played a gala match against the top German club SG Flensburg-Handewitt , which was lost at 9:30 p.m. in front of 2,000 spectators at the Center National Sportif d'Coque .

The 2nd team and the women's team of the club will play in the second-rate honorary doctorate in 2017/18 .

In the youth area, five teams of different age groups play from U7 to U17.
