The HDI Versicherung AG in Austria is part of the Talanx Group . HDI Austria operates branches in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The headquarters of HDI Versicherung AG are in Vienna . history

HDI Austria has established itself as a performance and quality-oriented property insurer since 1983. Initially responsible for industrial customers, the company changed quickly and has been active in the motor vehicle sector since 1990 and in the accident, legal protection and household / private home sectors since 1996. With around 400,000 customers, the market share is four percent.
In 2006 the parent company took over Gerling. The Austrian Gerling branch becomes part of HDI Versicherung AG. In 2007 the three Gerling branches in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia are integrated.

The Management Board of HDI Versicherung AG is made up of Günther Weiß (chairman) and Thomas Lackner. The company has around 265 employees and manages a total premium volume of around 188.7 million euros (2013) in the corporate and private customer segment. In addition to working closely with independent insurance brokers and agents, HDI is represented throughout Austria with regional offices in Vienna, Dornbirn, Graz, Innsbruck, Linz, Salzburg and Villach. These have registration offices for vehicle registration.
Products
HDI offers service-oriented insurance products in the areas of motor vehicle liability and comprehensive insurance, legal protection , accident insurance and household / home ownership. Property and business interruption insurance, transport and fleet insurance as well as electronics and assembly insurance are offered for corporate customers. Special products such as Cyber + and product liability in the aviation industry complete the offer.
HDI offers companies risk analyzes ("Risk Engineering") and supports them with security concepts in the preventive area.
