HD 23079 b is an exoplanet that orbits the yellow dwarf HD 23079 every 730.6 days . Due to its high mass , it is assumed that it is a gas planet .

discovery

The planet was determined using the radial velocity method by CG Tinney et al. discovered in 2001 .

Circulation and mass

The planet orbits its star at a distance of approx. 1.6 astronomical units with an eccentricity of 10.2% and has a mass of approx. 778.9 Earth masses or 2.45 Jupiter masses.
