The HEAG residential building is a building in Darmstadt at Klappacher Strasse 172.

Architecture and history

The HEAG house was built in 1929 according to plans by the architect Eugen Seibert . The expressionist clinker brick house was built for the employees of the HEAG depot at the Böllenfalltor .

The four-storey cube-like building has a facade divided by cornices , a horizontally stepped staircase window , a clinker-adorned entrance and an arched window on the upper floor .

Monument protection

The HEAG residential building is a typical example of brick expressionism in Darmstadt. For architectural and city history reasons, the building is a cultural monument .
