history

Ice hockey was played in Subotica even before World War II. Back then, the nearby Palić Lake was played when it was frozen. The club itself was founded in 1945 and the first official game was played in 1947. From the 1952/53 season , the team took part regularly in the game operation of the Yugoslav ice hockey championship . After the dissolution of the SFR Yugoslavia , the Spartak Subotica also competed in the successor competitions, including the Serbian ice hockey league . The team has not yet won a title. The greatest success was winning the playoff in the 2009/10 season . Subsequently, however, the club refused to take the Serbian championship title in a superfinal against Partizan Belgrade from the Slohokej League , which is why the championship title at the green table was awarded to Partizan.
