HMS Anson
HMS Anson was the name of at least seven ships in the British Royal Navy , all of which were named after Admiral George Anson (1697–1762):
- HMS Anson (1747) , a two-decker - Battleship fourth rank with 60 cannons, which was sold in 1773
- HMS Anson (1763) , a 6-gun cutter bought in 1763 and sold in 1774
- HMS Anson (1781) , a 3rd rank ship of the line with 64 guns, which was converted into a frigate with 44 guns around 1794, and which was damaged and sank in a storm on the Cornwall coast in 1807
- HMS Anson (1812) , a 3rd rank Vengeur-class ship of the line with 74 cannons, which was dismantled in Hobart (Tasmania) in 1851 after serving as a prisoner transporter and prisoner accommodation ship
- HMS Anson (1860) , a screw-propelled ship of the line of the Revenge class with 91 cannons, renamed HMS Algiers in 1883 and scrapped in 1904
- HMS Anson (1886) , an Admiral-class liner sold in 1909 (sister ships were HMS Collingwood , HMS Camperdown , HMS Howe , HMS Rodney and HMS Benbow )
- HMS Anson (79) , a King George class battleship that was launched in 1940 and scrapped in 1957

- HMS Anson , an Admiral-class battle cruiser and sister ship to HMS Hood commissioned in 1916 but canceled in 1918
- HMS Anson was the originally intended name of the HMS Duke of York
