HMS Tigris

Several warships of the British Royal Navy were named HMS Tigris (see Tigris ):

  • HMS Tigris (1813) was a sailing frigate equipped with 36 cannons. Originally the ship was to be called HMS Forth , but was renamed in 1812, launched in 1813 and demolished in 1818.
  • HMS Tigris was a planned sailing frigate equipped with 36 cannons, which was laid down in 1822. The construction was finally canceled in 1832.
  • HMS Tigris (1829) was a brig with 10 gunsthat served as a research ship. It was launched in 1829 and sold in 1862.
  • HMS Tigris (1834) was a gunboat with wheel drive , the 1834 was launched and was lost. 1835
  • HMS Tigris (1882) was a paddle steamer launched in 1882. The ship was sold for civilian use in 1904 and renamed Amarapoora .
  • HMS Tigris (N63) was a submarine of the T-class . The boat was launched in 1939 and lost in the Mediterranean in 1943.
