The HT Troplast GmbH , based in Berlin is a holding company for the Profine -Unternehmensgruppe, a leading manufacturer of plastic profiles for windows and doors.
history
The company originally belonged to the then RAG subsidiary Rütgers (now Rütgers Chemicals ) and bundled their plastics activities. From 2004 to 2007 the group belonged to a consortium in which the private equity investors Advent International and Carlyle Group were involved. From mid-2007 to spring 2012, HT Troplast was owned by Arcapita , a private equity investor based in Bahrain , which subsequently sold its shares to the Frankfurt-based private equity company Hidden Peak Capital .
In the course of time, several business areas were split off:
- Trosifol (since 2004 part of the Japanese Kuraray Co. Ltd)
- Trocellen , leading European manufacturer of polyolefin foams
- Dynos, the largest supplier of grinding wheel carriers made of vulcanized fiber
