The handball club Herzogenbuchsee (HVH) is a Swiss handball club from Herzogenbuchsee . With teams from all junior levels up to the 1st teams in the 1st division (men) and the SPAR Premium League 1 (women), the HVH is one of the most successful sports clubs in the region.

history

The handball club Herzogenbuchsee was founded in 1968 as a section of the gymnastics club Herzogenbuchsee. In 1987, the current form of the handball club Herzogenbuchsee was implemented as an independent club.

The HVH is headed by nine board members. The club has 423 members who play in 6 active and 8 youth teams. The women 1 team plays in the (SPL1) and the men 1 team in the 1st division. The HV Herzogenbuchsee is one of the largest handball clubs in Switzerland. The club is run by more than 20 officials and has over 30 trained coaches.

In addition to J&S kids handball, mini handball tournaments, talent development training and handball weeks, the association offers schools free demo training as part of the “Handball goes to school” project. Trained trainers from the HVH bring the teaching staff of Herzogenbuchsee and the surrounding area closer to the sport of handball in their gymnastics lessons and, in particular, instruct their rules and technology.
