The Hacker-Pschorr-Brücke is a suspension bridge for hikers on the southern slope of the Wanks near Garmisch-Partenkirchen . The structure was erected in 2011 and shortens the ascent to the Tannenhütte via the Sunnaweg by half an hour of the unattractive route.

history

With the expansion of the Sunnaweg from Zeileck to Hasenböderl, the desire arose for a direct connection to the Gamshütte on the other side of the Faukenschlucht gorge, where the Tannenhütte has stood since 2018. With financial support from the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology , the Garmisch-Partenkirchen market had the bridge built by Hoch-Tief-Bau Imst GmbH in summer and autumn 2011. By assuming 15% of the construction costs totaling 200,000 euros, the Munich brewery Hacker-Pschorr secured the right to the name. The structure was officially opened in May 2012.

construction

The galvanized steel construction spans the almost 40 m deep Faukenschlucht over a length of 55 m. The suspension ropes are 54.8 m long and 44 mm thick. The bridge is 1.20 wide and has a slack of one meter.
