The Hades Terrace is a steep-walled and largely icy step in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Southern Cross Mountains , it lies immediately west of the Vulcan Hills on the eastern flank of the Campbell Glacier .

The northern group of a campaign carried out from 1965 to 1966 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named them after Hades , the god of the dead from Greek mythology.
