The port of Muara ( English Port of Muara ) is a port in the northeast of Brunei Bay , the river delta of the Brunei River in Muara in Brunei Darussalam . The port was opened in the 1960s under Omar Ali Saifuddin III. created and since then steadily expanded. An expansion to connect to international routes has been planned since 2017. It is the base of the Royal Navy of Brunei .

The port is operated by the Muara Port Company Sdn Bhd under the supervision of the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam , which is headquartered in the port.
