Haibao Pagoda

The Haibao Pagoda ( Chinese  海宝塔 , Pinyin Hǎibǎo tǎ or 宁夏 银川 海宝塔 , Níngxià Yínchuān Hǎibǎo tǎ ), also Heibao Pagoda ( 黑 宝塔 , Heibao ta ), Hebao Pagoda ( 赫 宝塔 , Hèbǎo tǎ ) or Northern Pagoda ( Called at ta ), is a tower-style brick pagoda in a northern suburb of Yinchuan in the Ningxia Autonomous Region . Originally it is said to have been built in the 5th century during the time of the Xia ruler Helian Bobo ( 赫連勃勃 , Hèlián Bóbó ) of the Sixteen Kingdoms . The current pagoda dates from the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty . It is 53.6 m high.

The Haibao Pagoda ( Haibao ta ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (1-76) since 1961 .
