Hailes Castle is an Outbound castle in the village of Stanway in the English county of Gloucestershire .

The castle was built in the 11th or early 12th century near the current church of St Peter in the village. It was surrounded by a trench , which was later filled. At the beginning of the difficult civil war years of anarchy , in which Hailes Castle played a role in the years 1139–1145, Ralph of Worchester had the castle fortified. It is believed that Hailes Castle was demolished in the 1240s to make way for Hailes Abbey to be built.
