NGC 5710 is a 13.0 mag bright elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type "E1" in the constellation Bear Keeper .
It was discovered on April 20, 1792 by Wilhelm Herschel with an 18.7-inch reflector telescope, who described it as "vF, vS".
