NGC 5705 is a 13.2 mag bar -spiral-shaped Low Surface Brightness Galaxy of the Hubble-type SBcd in the constellation Virgo and about 78 million light-years away from the Milky Way.
It was discovered by Édouard Stephan on May 17, 1884 .
