NGC 5700 is a 14.4 mag light barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Bear Guardian . It is estimated to be 102 million light-years away from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Lawrence Parsons on May 4, 1877 .
