NGC 5724
NGC 5724 is a single star in the Bear Guardian constellation ( right ascension : 14: 39: 02.1; declination : +46: 41: 32). On April 16, 1855, RJ Mitchell , an assistant to William Parsons , mistakenly mistook it for a galaxy during an observation and thus gained an entry in the catalog.
