The Haines Mountains are a range of icy mountains in Marie Byrd Land, West Antarctica . In the Ford Ranges they extend for around 40 km in a north-west-south-east orientation and limit the Hammond Glacier to the south-west.
They were discovered during the second Antarctic expedition (1933-1935) of the US polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd . They are named after William C. Haines (1887–1956), meteorologist on this and Byrd's first Antarctic expedition (1928–1930).
