Haiyan
Haiyan is ambiguous. It denotes:
- Haiyan County (海晏 县) in the Haibei Autonomous Region of the Tibetans in the Chinese province of Qinghai, see Haiyan (Haibei) ;
- Haiyan County (海盐县), Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, see Haiyan (Jiaxing) ;
- Haiyan Town (海宴 镇), Taishan City, Guangdong Province, see Haiyan (Taishan) ;
- Haiyan Village (海燕 村) in Xincun Town, Lingshui Li Autonomous County, Hainan Province, see Haiyan (Xincun) .
- the brand name of the former Chinese automobile manufacturer Shanghai Bus Repair Works
- the brand name of the former Chinese automobile manufacturer Shanghai Mini-Auto Works
The name Haiyan was used for three tropical cyclones in the northwestern Pacific;
- Typhoon Haiyan (T0121, 25W, Maring), see Pacific Typhoon Season 2000 # Typhoon Haiyan (Maring) , moderately strong typhoon that hit Taiwan and the Ryukyu Islands
- Tropical Storm Haiyan, see 2007 Pacific Typhoon Season # Tropical Storm Haiyan (T0716, 27W), a short-lived storm with no impact on land
- Typhoon Haiyan (T1330, 31W, Yolanda) in 2013, one of the strongest tropical cyclones to date, with severe consequences for the Philippines and Vietnam
