Hal Adkins
Harold "Hal" Adkins (born July 10, 1898 in Ohio , † May 5, 1964 in Los Angeles ) was an American film technology pioneer and engineer who was awarded an Oscar for technical merit at the 1947 Academy Awards .
Life
Hal Adkins, who worked for the RKO Pictures Radio Studio Miniature Department for design and construction, was awarded a Technical Achievement Award in 1947 "for the design and construction of a device with projectile effects" ("for the design and construction of equipment providing visual bullet effects ”). He shared this award with Marty Martin of RKO Pictures.
