Justs Sirmais (born February 6, 1995 in Ķekava ), known as Justs , is a Latvian singer . He represented his country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm .

life and career

As a teenager he attended the First State Gymnasium in Riga and plays both guitar and piano.

In February 2016, the newcomer competed in the Latvian ESC preliminary decision Supernova , which he won after qualifying from the preliminary round to the semifinals to the national final. His competition entry Heartbeat was composed by Aminata Savadogo , who competed for Latvia in 2015 with another original composition and not only led the country into an ESC final for the first time since 2008, but also in 6th place with 186 points, the country's best result so far Times scored.
