Anmary

Anmary (actually: Linda Amantova ; born March 3, 1980 in Gulbene , Latvian SSR ) is a Latvian singer . She represented Latvia with the song "Beautiful Song" at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku .

After studying at the Latvian Music Academy in Riga , she was active as a singing teacher. In 2003, she participated in the Latvian talent show Talantu Fabrika part and came second. On February 18, 2012 she prevailed in the national Latvian preliminary decision, Eirodziesma 2012 , and thus represented Latvia, as the successor to the duo Musiqq , in the first semifinals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. However, she could not qualify for the final. The lyrics of their English-language song "Beautiful Song" are from Rolands Ūdris, the music from Ivars Makstnieks. Even after the final of the Song Contest, Beautiful Song did not reach the chart.
