Triana Park ( Latvian Triānas Parks ) is a Latvian band .

history

The band was founded in 2008 in Riga . Members are Agnese Rakovska on vocals, Artūrs Strautiņš on guitar, Edgard Viļums on drums and Kristaps Ērglis on bass. Aivars Rakovskis and Renārs Lazda were already active as guitarists in the group.

In 2017 the band took part in Supernova 2017 , the Latvian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . In the first round, the four succeeded with the song Line , which is somewhere between electro , punk , rock , hip-hop and jazz , to get into the top four of 11 participants on February 12, which they make for the semifinals qualified. There they qualified a week later via televoting for the final, which they finally won. Thus they represented Latvia at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2017 in Ukrainian Kiev . After participating in the first semifinals, however, she could not qualify for the final of the competition.

On April 18, 2018, the band released their second studio album Alive , which also includes the two singles Line and Home .
